I moved!   I’m now in my new apartment… and more importantly,  I now have internet!

Money is starting to get real tight, thank goodness for parents!  I’m putting my sword class on hold since I can’t afford to pay for it right now.  I also have been working more, so I need more time on the weekends anyways.  I might be getting a “promotion” at starbucks… I would get to hold the keys at work, nothing too important.  It makes more money though, so I really hope that I get it.

Sommer and her boyfriend Riley took Justin and I camping a few weeks ago.  It was so much fun!!!  I haven’t been camping in such a long time, and I hadn’t been to mt lemon before this summer.  We liked it so much, we’re going back up there next weekend.  I’m taking Dante (my pug) since he’s with me now and there isn’t anyone else to watch him.  I think he’s going to LOVE being surrounded by trees.  Just as long as he doesn’t pee on the tent, I’m sure we’ll be fine.

I survived my first semester!  A lot of things could have worked out better and a lot of things could have gone worse this semester.  I’m just glad it’s finally over.   I should develop a complex about first semesters (when I get the time :p)  I seem to enjoy life altering events that throw a kink into what could have developed into a nice peaceful time.  Broodings aside…

Finals!!

Monday 7^th:               Nursing Exam 4:      86%

Tuesday 8^th:              Pharm quiz 13:         90%

Wednesday 9^th:        Math Final:                100%  (ohh yeah that’s right bitches)

Friday 11^th:                Pharm Final:             86%

Monday 14^th:             Nursing Final:          83%

Final Grades:

Nursing 104:             84-85%          B

Pharmacology:         87%                B

Math:                          100%              Pass  (bleh no A, just a frickin’ Pass…)

I’m kinda ashamed of my grades, but I guess with the amount that I studied… or didn’t study…  I know people who studied a lot more than me and still ended up with the grades that I have… and many people did a lot worse…  still doesn’t make me feel better, but when the time comes next semester to study more or play warcraft… I wonder if I’ll really put down the keyboard for a book :p

I’ve gotten a couple of emails from the VA hospital regarding a job I want, I need to be able to interview by Wednesday and, of course, the time they want me to come in is 30 min before I even get off work.  I’m trying to reschedule ( all interviews have to be done by Wed) but if it doesn’t work, I’m going to need to leave work almost an hour early to make it there on time.  I think the possibility of a job that pays more than double what I’m making an hour will be worth it :p

One out of six tests done with.  I’m passing so far.  Woo Hoo!  Today I got my evaluation in clinicals.   My instructor said that she feels that I have exceeded her expectations.  Out of my clinical group, I had way less experience than anyone else.  Everyone had given shots, taken blood pressure, and all that other fun stuff that I had never done before, and I guess that it impressed her that I was able to keep up… (I’m done talking myself up now :p).

Kinda sad to say that school is the least stressful thing in my life at the moment.  I’m sure things will get better, and since I can’t really change most things, I suppose there is no point in really complaining about it too much. 

This weekend I’m pretty much getting ready for finals week; I can say that I’m not going to do anything but study, but anyone who knows me will understand that studying really isn’t my thing… kinda sad that I get good enough grades to look smart sometimes (I’m really not, but people think I am, so I guess that’s all that matters). 

My tests are spaced out pretty nice so I really don’t have to worry about being rushed:

Monday:         Nursing Exam 4

Tuesday:        Pharmacology Quiz 13?

Wednesday:  Math Final

Friday:            Pharmacology Final

Monday:         Nursing Final

Bleh, I’m done typing… I’m sure its been fun and amusing…

Three weeks left!!  Two more weeks of class, then Finals week.  I’m not too worried about any of my exams, I just know that I should start studying so I’m not cramming the weekend before… but who knows if I’ll really be that on top of things.

I passed my rank testing in sword!  I’m now ranked in two martial arts (pretty low rank, but still ranked :p)

*yawn*

Yesterday was crappy! 

I couldn’t sleep Sunday night and had to be at work 4am Monday.  I was so tired, my stomach was upset.  I made it to class with about an hour and a half before the test.  I was so tired, I couldn’t pay attention to the review and ended up taking a power nap a bench out in the sun… which meant that I woke up with a raging migraine (they run in the family and have been so bad that I’ve thrown up and been out of it for the rest of the day).  I took my test as fast as humanly possible and went home to try and medicate/ sleep it off.  I ended up getting a C (not bad… high enough to pass and high enough to keep all my “buffer” points in the class).  I tried to go to bed… but I got a call from my dad about 30 min after I went to bed, and then I got woken up about 45 min later and after laying in bed for a little while, my headache was ok and I had just enough sleep to not be able to fall asleep.  Since I was so tired… I ended up staying awake until 3:30 this morning… my alarm went off around 6:30am.  At least there isn’t any class this afternoon… there is one class this evening, but I think I can get at least an hour or two of sleep in… then I need to start on my paper.

I’ve decided to move out.  I’m looking at some apartments close to the house.  The place has an opening around June… at least it will be after school is done for the semester.  It’s super tiny, but they take one dog per unit, so I’ll be able to take my baby Dante with me.  I’m kinda excited to have my own place, but I’m also kinda scared and sad that I’m not going to be living at the house.
